Man OVERKILLED In Chicago’s Westside (Austin Neighborhood)

CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was fatally shot outside of a Citgo gas station on the city’s West Side (Austin Neighborhood) .The shooting happened around 8:54 a.m. Tuesday morning on the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue. According to police, the man was exiting the gas station’s store with 2 other men when a silver sedan (Infiniti) approached the men. 3 men exited the vehicle with high caliber assault rifles and opened fire, striking the victim multiple times.

After the shooting, the offenders got back into the silver sedan and fled northbound. The man was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. No one is in custody at this time. Detectives from Area Four are currently investigating.
